Best product(s) for acne AND anti-aging?

I’m 24, still get acne, but I’m starting to notice a few fine lines around my eyes. What are some products, or even natural remedies, you might suggest which would help with break outs but also be good/gentle on my skin from the anti-aging perspective? (Yes, i realize we all get wrinkles eventually, but I want to take good care of my skin and slow the process as much as I can) I do have sensitive skin, so anything with harsh chemicals is out.

I’ve tried Accutane and other acne products, but I’ve had reactions. I also tried prescriptions (both oral and topical), but they made me even more susceptible to sunburns (I’m a redhead who wears sunscreen every day as it is). I do use a face wash with salicylic acid every other day with no reacition. I’ve switched to using the oil cleansing method and honey for face washing otherwise, and it’s helped with the large blemishes but I still have blackheads. As far as diet, because I know that’s a factor, I eat mostly vegetarian foods, with occasional fish or poultry. I do not eat dairy foods and rarely eat beef.

A friend is giving me a Sephora gift certificate for my birthday, so I’m open to trying pricier suggestions, if they are products which I could get at a Sephora store.

What has worked for you all? Any suggestions? I plan on visiting a dermatologist as soon as I find one who will accept my insurance.

Consumer Reports, the most reliable and totally trusted product testing organization, recently tested 16 skin firming, anti wrinkle, anti aging products and no matter the price – the most expensive one being $96 – all failed to even noticeably have any effect. A low cost over the counter moisturizing cream that was also included in the tests was found to be JUST AS EFFECTIVE as those products. It clearly proves that those products are SCAMS. See Consumer Reports.com for more info.

I have had truly remarkable success with safe, natural treatments using pure natural oils and massage. It not only permanently healed my acne and many other skin conditions but gave me an unbelievably flawless, healthy, young looking and vibrant skin. I am often thought to be many years younger.
Specialized massaging with oils feed/nourish skin vital nutrients that benefit it in countless ways.
Massaging quite firmly and vigorously is even better for skin tightening and firming and giving you a vibrant, glowing skin. There is no pulling/stretching of skin if tighten it by opening mouth 3/4" and pulling lips FIRMLY back against teeth. Doing this and the massage itself exercises and conditions many of face (and some neck) muscles – thus combating weakening of muscles as we age that eventually leads to sagging and in turn wrinkling and lines. Do forward and back massage using finger tips and front of fingers and palms depending where on face you apply. Circular motion is not effective.
In a few days skin will be much firmer, will visibly tighten, look and feel smoother and it will start to glow. I’ve seen it totally revitalize and rejuvenate faces of my clients and can send you testimonials from happy users.
Extra virgin olive, almond and grape seed oils are excellent and are suitable for all skin types and are perfect, natural moisturizers – you will need no other. Only remove any excess by splashing and dab drying with tissues.

Avoid sunscreen harm by applying on TOP of oil. Surprisingly, it is equally effective. I am often in intense sun for many hours and never burn – even using just one application of spf 15.

Tink, I like the grateful heart part. I need to work on that, as I am too close to my worries right now.

5-9 servings or more of fruits and vegetables, 6-11 servings a day of whole grains (bear in mind, those serving numbers are based on a child serving size – so a serving of fruit is 4 ounces of fruit juice for example) 30-60 minutes a day of physical activity, don’t smoke, drink in moderation if at all, wear sunscreen, floss your teeth after brushing twice daily, have a physical done at regular intervals according to age related guidelines, wash your hands frequently during cold and flu season, have a set sleep schedule, reduce stress, don’t take yourself too seriously, enjoy life and keep a grateful heart.

Im 15 and have had elbow tendinitis for a year?

i got it in may last year and ive had it ever scince , i cant play any sports(im a very active person) and video games because it hurts my elbow as well

has anyone else ever had this at my age and for this long , its gotten a little better and now its getting worse and ive been eating lots of anti-inflamatory foods too

OK Vin, it’s time to see a doctor ( orthopedic or sports doctor. ) He will take Xrays and do some touching. Likely the first course of treatment will be Cortisone shots. He may repeat the shots if there is no improvement. Steroids for 14 days also sometimes work. If there is still no improvement, you will need ( re-connective ) surgery, and you will wear a cast for about 6 weeks, followed by physical therapy to gradually regain 100% use. Don’t put it off any longer, if a year of pain didn’t help, another year won’t either. It’s time to take the bull by the horns and get infront of the problem. See a doctor, get it fixed, and get on with your life.

Hi there, I am an asthmatic patient, 17 years of age and currently taking Seretide Inhaler with 25 mcg/250 mcg as prescribed by my physician and now I’m wondering since I started this medication for asthma attack, I noticed that my food appetite increases and as a result, I grow bigger. Can you help me with my problem? Thanks for someone who will reply my question.

IF your dose is considered a higher dose, you could very well be having an increased appetite. It is a steroid, they can cause a rounded face and weight gain.

I use a different type, so your question really interested me. Fortunately I don’t need it very often.

I recently had an injection in my shoulder (steroid) and knees, then was put on a pain (weight gain( medication. I didn’t read about it so I didn’t cut back on my snacking. 14# just like that. I went from an 8 to a 12 in less than two months. I’m telling you this so you don’t get caught in the same trap I did, without realizing it.

What food is good for anti aging?

Salmon, tomatoes, green tea, any more significant other diets good for anti aging?

Anti-aging food can enhance your health, energy, mental fitness and
slow many of the changes that are marks of growing old.

Tomatoes. A major source of the antioxidant lycopene that reduces the
risk of cancer by 40% — notably prostate, lung and stomach cancers –
and increases cancer survival. Tomato eaters function better mentally
in old age and suffer half as much heart disease. Concentrated tomato
sauces have 5 times more lycopene than fresh tomatoes, and canned
tomatoes have three times more than fresh.

Olive Oil. Shown to help reduce death from heart disease and cancer.
Recent research shows that heart-attack survivors on a Mediterranean
diet had half the death rates of those on an ordinary low-fat diet.
Olive oil is also high in antioxidant activity.

Red Grapes, including red grape juice and red wine. Red grapes have
moderate antioxidant power, while purple grape juice has four times
more antioxidant activity than orange or tomato juice. Red wine (not
white) has about the same antioxidant capacity as purple grape juice
or tea. French research show that drinking red wine in moderation
increases longevity, but excessive drinking has the opposite effect,
so limit to two glasses per day. Drink grape juice.

Garlic. German researchers have found that garlic is packed with
antioxidants know to help fend off cancer, heart disease and all-over
aging, and prolong cancer survival time. Let crushed garlic "rest"
about 10 minutes before cooking to preserve disease-fighting agents.

Spinach. Second among vegetables only to garlic in antioxidant
capacity and is also rich in folic acid, which helps fight cancer,
heart disease and mental disorders. New University of Kentucky
research shows folic acid may help prevent Alzheimer’s disease. Eat
both raw and steamed for best benefit.

Whole grains. A University of Minnesota study suggests the more
whole grains you eat, the lower your odds of death by 15%. Whole
grains contain anticancer agents and help stabilize blood sugar and
insulin, which may promote longevity. Whole-grain "dark" breads,
cereals such as All Bran, and "old fashioned" oatmeal are an excellent
source.

Salmon, and other fatty fish. Contains high amounts of omega-3 fat
that performs miracles throughout the body, fighting virtually every
chronic disease known. Without it, your brain can’t think, your heart
can’t beat, your arteries clog, and joints become inflamed. You need
one ounce a day, or two servings of salmon, sardines, mackerel,
herring or tuna per week.

Nuts. Eating more than 5 ounces a week can cut heart-attack deaths
in women by 40% and help prevent deadly irregular heart beats in men a
Harvard University study found. Almonds and walnuts lower blood
cholesterol. Most of the fat in nuts is the good-type monounsaturated
and/or omega-3. Unsalted nuts are best.

Blueberries. High in antioxidants, Tufts University researchers say a
half-cup of blueberries a day can retard aging and can block brain
changes leading to decline and even reverse failing memory.
Tea. Green or black tea has equal antioxidant benefit. One cup a day
can cut heart disease risk in half Harvard researchers found. Make
from loose tea or tea bags, instant and bottled tea has little effect

Does Green Tea For Anti Aging Actually Work?

May 25, 2011 by

Many people today swear by the benefits of green tea, whether for weight loss or energy or relaxation. Some even use green tea for anti aging and believe that it encourages healing in the body and cell repair and renewal. These kinds of techniques help with keeping the effects of age away, at the least as much as possible.

Utilizing green tea for anti aging is one thing which has been around in Asia since way back when; they have been utilizing green tea as a stomach tonic and as a therapeutic solution for as long as there has been documented history. Today, green tea for anti aging may mean the actual tea itself or pills and supplements.

But does green tea for anti aging truly do the job? No matter the form in which it’s available, anyone considering using this will want to know if it’s really effective. If not, it doesn’t matter if you have the tea itself or are just taking supplements!

Many use green tea for anti aging since it has antioxidant components. These properties drive back foreign bodies, that are agents that induce cell damage. This cell damage is what causes the signs of aging, from facial lines to liver spots to gray hair.

Antioxidants also appear to boost the body to heal alone by prompted cell restoration on its own. When cells are repaired and renewed then the human body obviously looks better and more fresh. Using green tea for anti aging has many perks in this manner and can keep the skin, hair, and other attributes looking younger for longer.

This will not mean you can use green tea for anti aging and dispose of your arthritis pills or your hypertension treatment, or that you’ll never experience the results of old age. Nonetheless there are lots of factors today that create quick cell destruction, from a bad diet to tobacco to pollution in the air.

One more reason that many use green tea for anti aging is because it stimulates good digestive wellbeing. This means that a person can be more healthy overall because the digestive tract can affect the way an individual feels and can also affect many other facets of their health.

When the digestive system is not working properly then toxic compounds and other dangerous enzymes can accumulate in the body and trigger premature maturity. Using green tea for anti aging means flushing these items from the body more regularly so that they don’t result in cell damage as well as feelings of sluggishness and a lack of energy. Therefore an individual may simply feel more healthy overall and may find that they suffer lesser effects of aging.

Wrinkle creams can give us a lot of beneficial effects in terms of making the face look younger. It can get rid of wrinkles which are the most evident effects of aging on the face. Aside from this, it can also improve the appearance of the skin by making it smoother and softer.

People can start using wrinkle creams at any age as there is no specific age when this creams are indicated for use. You should first take into account genetic and environmental factors before deciding if you are going to use a cream already or not.

There are some lucky people who still look young even if they are already in their 40’s. For people who are lucky, it is not advisable that they use wrinkle creams at such a young age. Aside from the fact that they do not need the creams, it also exposes their body to artificial chemicals which can build up and cause problems in the future.

The best course of action for these people who still want to try and maintain their appearance is by performing facial exercises. This will help them maintain the appearance of their face without introducing artificial chemicals present in most creams being sold in the market today.
