Surgery? To remove old burn mark on leg?

I have a burn mark on my right leg , its about 6 inches long. I had it for like 7 years. I got burnt by boiling water.[Its hurt alot]
Its not as bad as some burn marks obviously, But it still bothers me
I dont like wearing shorts or anything that shows it.

I would like to know if there is any kind of Cosmetic Surgery Or Laser Treatment that I could do. If so much would it cost?

I tried looking online but I dont really know what it would be called so google wasnt helping. thank you.

You would really need to go to a dermatologist and discuss this. It depends on the burn, and your avatar is black – so, I assume you are. There are issues with pastic surgery on black skin – scarring and such. Surgery might make the burn look worse. A doctor would really have to look at the scar to evaluate whether or not surgery would help. Good luck.

We’re opening a company, we have the ideas, but we need a name. Any suggestions?

Our company involves medical treatment, including laser eye surgery, cosmetic surgery, rehabilitation, among other treatments, and a chance to travel on a holiday at the same time. We need a name that reflects these things.

i want to know what the right career choice is for someone looking to go into costmetic surgery?

I am a student at a community college ready to obtain my Associates Degree. Not till recently did I decide what I wanted to with my life, career wise. Bottom line is that I want to give people botox, laser treatments, face lifts, chemical peels and be the one who is performing the procedures. I’ve looked at sites after sites, some saying you can just be an RN and work at a cosmetic surgery office, or people that say you should become a Physician Assistant. What is the best, and most saught after degree/education that doctor’s offices are looking for? I really would love to be a dermatologist or dermasurgeon, but I am so not going to want to go to school for 12 years for that. some one help! i don’t know what the best path is to get to where I want! thanks!

I guess that being an OR nurse in cosmetic surgery is your best shot. You have to go to training for 11 years or more to become a plastic/cosmetic surgeon. To be a dermatologist, it takes about 12 years. But for you, it might take 14 years since you have to get your Bachelor’s degree if you decide to go through with med school, internship and reisdency. to be a nurse you have to go to nursing school. Will VA hospitals do laser surgery for warts?

My husband (who is a veteran) has been having huge warts grow on his hands and feet for almost 10 years now and has been to multiple doctors and has tried all of the remedies we could find. He actually started to get the warts while he was in the Air Force. The doctors keep on saying that his last resort would be laser surgery for his warts or he will eventually lose his hands and feet (yes, they are that bad). Our insurance won’t cover this procedure because they classify it as a "cosmetic problem". We have medical insurance already, so we can’t get any Medicaid. Could we get help from a VA hospital? If so, any suggestions on how much it would cost? We live in Michigan and i know there is a VA hospital in Grand Rapids.

if you really want to remove warts forever then you should know that you can remove warts by surgery, freezing, laser, acid or with cream but warts can reappear again and again because warts appears when your immune system is weak! so you must build up your immune system because your body can get rid of warts by itself if your immune system will be strong! so eat more healthy food, more vitamins and more sport activities!
(No smoking, no beer/ale, no booze, no drugs, no junk food, no fast food garbage, no sugary sweet soda’s. Get on a good, balanced, healthy diet including plenty of boiled or steamed vegetables. Drink P L E N T Y O F W A T E R , fruit juices & fat free milk. Snack on lots of RAW fruit & veggies. Get up one hour early every morning & take a BRISK 30 minute walk – then – do the same thing again in the evening after dinner. Make sure you eat a good, balanced breakfast daily. You get your energy for the day from your breakfast meal. Get 8 hours sleep each night. Flip your mattress over so it will level out to give you a good night’s rest. Slack off too much coffee & tea.)

HPV is the virus that causes warts. And HPV virus has many strains. In your case you have HPV virus strain number 2. People can be infected with HPV and never show any symptoms. Others will develop warts. These warts can stay the same size, grow, or go away on their own. It depends on the infected person’s immune system. A healthy immune system means your body may be able to suppress the virus and not show symptoms.

also you should use some herbal treatment!

in that case Wartrol is a good (probably the best) product that gets rid of warts comparatively fast and makes you feel more confident knowing that they wont reappear again! it says that it is designed for Genital Warts but
it does not matter because warts are warts and wartrol works by stimulating your immune system to fight the HPV virus that causes the warts. of course it is better if you use full course (5 months – if I remember correctly).

It worked and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry Wartrol but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.wartrol.com/?aid=749165

good luck!

How much would this cosmetic surgery cost?

All together, how much would this cosmetic surgery cost? (btw don’t judge you do not know the reasoning behind this question)
Do you have an average cost? If you have any experience undergoing and of these cosmetic surgeries please share

-Nose reconstruction
-Breast Augmentation
-Jaw reconstruction
-Stretch mark removal(butt, hips, thighs, and breasts)
-Bunion removal(excess bone growth on foot)
-Laser Hair removal(legs, kittycat, under arms)

Yes basically a barbie doll but don’t judge, you practically have to have a nose job to be an official celebrity lmao

Thanks! :)

Nose would probably be 10,000, a good breast job will set you back 20,000. Jaw is more complicated. don’t know about the other stuff

Can you join the military having had cosmetic surgery?

I have a girlfriend who had breast implants and wants to join the military, it’s not a preexisting condition, not medical, just something she wanted.
This also goes for other cosmetic procedures, liposuction, tummy tuck, bow-lift etc. If it’s cosmetic, not a preexisting medical condition, you can have tattoos, why not plastic surgery?
Does anyone know if you should not disclose the information about plastic surgery to guarantee getting in (i.e. my friend doesn’t tell them about her surgeries and hopes her boobs don’t pop) or if you should bring it in the open and let your examining doctor know?
I know plenty of people who have serious mental and physical issues, go off their medications "hide" their conditions, lie to the recruiter and doctor and then pretend that they all of a sudden developed a psychological or physical disorder for which they are treated by the branch they joined, how does this work with cosmetic surgery, should I tell my friend to sweep it under the rug and as I said hope she doesn’t have a pop, I mean in theory, she could have them done during a long enough leave, she’s not a child needing permission from the government to have her breasts done or liposuction etc.
I have had laser hair removal, as well as laser tattoo and scar removal, what about that? What if I want a Brazilian Butt lift (I too am joining, a different branch, she’s going Navy.) Do I have to tell them I had a butt lift prior to joining, I mean if I survive with no issues there are no preexisting conditions, right?
Thanks

A lot of this stuff, I could’ve never read and be a happier person.

This is simple. Tell your recruiter. It can be waived, but you need to tell them because it falls under a surgery. If there were no complications and a certain period of time has gone by it isn’t a problem. The fact that you’re both females and in a relationship is a bigger problem to them. As I tell most recruits, tell the truth and never worry.

cosmetic surgery?

Is it possibe to improve complexion through laser or such type of treatment.I want to improve my look by change the shape of my lips and eyes..is it possible…

Can I expect that with the help of cosmetic surgery I can improve my look upto 30 to 40%? plz answer.

Skin can be improved with lasers to remove acne, improve texture, remove freckles, remove broken capallaries and other discolorations.

They are little help with acne scars or pitted scars. Juvederm (fillers) will fill those up.

Lips can be plumped using injections such as juvederm as well.

Eyes can be adjusted by brow lifts (widen your eyes) or smaller nips and tucks to make them more round.

Wrinkles can be fixed with botox.

All of these items are not cheap (in the US).

Laser resurfacing is up to 800 a session. You most likely would need multiple sessions..

Fillers such as juvederm can run several hundred dollars per area.

Botox is several hundred dollars per area treated.

Brow lifts and other facial surgeries are in the thousands.

Hope that answers your question. It can significantly improve your appearance (think Extreme Makeover). BUT it will not make you any happier. That can only come from within. Also, if you don’t feel beautiful inside, nothing you do on the outside will change that.

What do you think about plastic surgery?

I’m watching this thing on E about plastic surgery Freaks! They look disgusting. They are going completely overboard. i work in a cosmetic laser office and people want the tiniest littl eflaws fixed. Things other people wouldn’t even notice. What is your view of plastic surgery?

I don’t agree with it just for "cosmetic" reasons. I feel society making people feel bad about how they look one way or another is making some people tons and tons of money
