I am asked to specify my race in some international applications and I don’t know what to check?

I am Egyptian with dark brown eyes, dark hair, and white skin. My native language is Arabic, and we are never asked about our race in any official document in Egypt.
When filling an international application I am asked to specify my race, and I get confused I am not Asian, I am not black, I am not white? am I Hispanic- white or what?

You are closest to being Caucasian or white. It is ignorant in the extreme for governments to ask that when there is no significant biological basis for it. Believe it or not, the people asking claim to be the non racist ones. They are typically people that use race to divide people up in political categories and try to get votes by pandering to each of them. That is a tactic from the leftist parties of the world. It isn’t people looking to exclude you is the point but it is obnoxious.

why does everyone still care about skin color?

It’s something I dealt with living in the boondocks, as an indian kid. Racist remarks, stereotypes. sometimes I would like to make the brown panther party haha just kidding. Why can’t people understand that there is only one race? the human race. why must we tell people the color of our skin in our job applications, On our school exams, etc. I have been trying to understand why people are like this but I just can’t understand why.
are you trying to say blacks and indians can’t behave? go fuck yourself jane.

I’ve been taking an anthropology class and the teacher was saying that there is only one race and stuff and i felt that she was right.
Some people are too judgmental i guess when it comes to things like that

What Kind of Paint I should buy for skin application?

I am interested in photographing a model with paint poured on their body. What brand or type of paint can easily be washed or cleansed afterwards?
This link is an example of what I am trying to achieve: http://www.whitezine.com/en/photography/mark-zibert.html/attachment/mark-zibert-black

Acrylic paint will wash off yet sometimes it clumps around hair and pulls. I would recommend finding a basic face paint that the use for children at fairs. Make sure first that your model isn’t allergic to anything in the paint that you choose. Maybe test it the night before just in case.

i used to have perfect skin, well, not perfect, but very few blemishes, and the ones that i had could be easily fixed with concealer. but since becoming preggo my skin has gotten AWFUL. i usually apply foundation with a sponge or my fingers, but i’m wondering if a brush is better for problem skin? if so, what type of brush?

For problem skin, use a Stippling brush. It’s amazing.

If a prescribed ointment/cream irritates the skin, should it still be used?

If something is good for you, shouldn’t it not irritate or burn the skin? In what way can the application of something that causes burning and discomfort be good for you? Are you better off not using the product, and finding something more natural and soothing? Or is this supposed to happen sometimes?

Ask the prescriber if it should be continued. Some rashes are so irritated, even the medication known to help can sting or burn initially. Some are known to cause burning only in the first few days, until inflammation comes under control. Again ask the person who gave it to you. Because of preservatives, creams are more likely than ointments to sting and gels are more likely yet.

is it long lasting?
is application easy?

Mineral Wear Talc Free Mineral Loose Powder is a product by physiicians formula i would like opinions on the acual product no mineral makeup in general please.

Yes, bare minerals makeup is amazing and it does cover up scars if you use the concealer brush. And yeah, it’s good for blemish prone skin. My skin has actually cleared up since I started using it and you really can sleep in it which is cool in case you fall asleep before you take it off.

What is a good foundation/powder for Asian skin besides Shiseido, Mac, or Clinique?

I’m looking for an oil-free foundation/powder for quick and easy application that comes in asian skin shades. (I am on the paler sallow colored side- with no tan at all.)
MAC has compatible colors and is easy to use, but it’s getting to be too greasy for me. I have the same problem with Shiseido.
And while Clinique’s quality is good, they have pink tones in all their foundations and make me look like I’m wearing a bad calamine lotion mask. Argh!
Thanx for your help!

Those are the three best, but you probably like me with yellow undertones, i use LOREAL HIP. all their foundations come in red and yellow undertone formulas. Back in the day, cornsilk would have worked well for you, but they took it off the marker

Eyeshadow application dark brown eyes fair skin?

I have dark brown eyes, fair skin. My hair is also dark brown/black. I always pick the same color for eyeshadow and I can’t seem to find three colors/shades that work well together. Any ideas? Thanks.

Most quads that are sold together are supposed to work together, but i find that its better to actually experiment & see what’s best.

I also have brown eyes & i tried a couple of variations. actually im still waiting for my Coastal Scent Palette to arrive.

But from what i have experimented so far i like the combination between vanilla whites, purples & blues. I have brown eyes & the colors i put depends on what mood im in. Like if im feeling a little down & i wanna cheer up, i mostly put bright colors like green, not on the entire lid though. What i do is put some vanilla shimmer on the lid, then put a light green at the outer edge of the eye, then blend it. it makes my eyes look bright. Plus of course a touch of mascara.

Now, if you wanna just go for a simple look, opt for neutral colors, shades that are earth tones, brownish, charcoals & navy blues.
If you want your eyes to stand out, you can go for green & whites (like what i did, also purples, blues & golds.)

One thing that’s about us brown-eyed women is that we can wear almost colors..
how fun is that? ^_^

You will never go wrong with navy or charcoal shades for it compliments all colors of eyes

For the liner, it’s your choice, if you would just like to opt for a simple look, you can line your upper lid, just a thin line, then curl your lashes, then use mascara…leave the bottom lash bare..just put mascara on it…

If you would want to emphasize your eyes, do a smokey look, then line your top & bottom lids. Always always curl your lashes…it will open up your eyes..its a must to curl the lash when sporting a smokey eye..because if not, it will hide your eyes..on which we don’t want to happen because we want to actually emphasize your eyes, that’s why you are doing a smokey look.

If you would want to have the ‘wake-up-y" eye, just put a dot of white color near you tear duct area.

This youtuber got brown eyes & you can get ideas what colors you would like to use on teh videos that she does:

http://www.youtube.com/user/xteeener

But what i would suggest is for you to actually experiment.
like put one eyecolor on the right, another one on the left. see which compliments your eye, experiment with lining it, like should you also line the waterline?or just the top?
should you go for a winged-eyed or cat-eye..whatever..

go & have fun experimenting!
^_^

hope i helped

will dimethyl sulfoxide (dmso) permit bee venom to penetrate the skin and get into the bloodstream?

DMSO is a polar aprotic with solvating power to penetrate the skin and get into the bloodstream. Would it be compatible for use with honey bee venom in therapeutic applications?

Interesting question.

We used it on horses. (my best friend is an equine vet, and I was often her go-fer) I don’t even know if it is still available in most states.

Interestingly, my dog is now almost 14 (rottie/dobie cross) and very arthritic. Poor little man could hardly move. A year and a half ago he was hit on the nose with a rattle snake, and fully envenomated… he was, in a word, on his way out.

We rushed him to the vet, and the only reason he even survived was because he weighs almost 100 lbs. and got antivenom.

The antivenom saved him, and 3 days later and $2000 shorter, he got to come home. His head looked like that of a Shar pai.

However, 7 days later, his arthritis was 80% better !!!!!!!!! he regained muscle mass in his hind limbs, and was dancing around like a puppy, for almost 8 months !!!!!!!!! My vet found nothing in the literature, but there are a few things about arthritis and venoms in the literature on the web.

And people have allowed bees to sting them over the joints that are affected and gotten some great relief, and no one really knows the mechanism, as far as I am aware.

As well, interestingly, my dad kept bees since he was a child, and was often stung. He never had arthritis… not even the slightest, and he lived to be 87 or so.
